Last night, I attended the first public viewing of Singer Carolyn Malachi's "Beautiful Dreamer" music video which literally brought me to tears! At one point I though my "event" lashes were going to fall off.

THE ARTIST:
Carolyn Malachi is not just a Singer, she is a Grammy Nominated Recording Artist who makes pop, soul, and jazz-influenced R&B with a poetic, avant-garde vibe. Malachi is a native of Washington, D.C. and I had the pleasure of first meeting her on a photoshoot with Stylist Ayanna Scott of Scott & Co. and Photographer Leonard Poteat where I had the honor of creating her new "vision takes flight" Feather Couture Lash look using my cosmetics line ink...cosmetics. She has made this her signature look and chose ink...cosmetics as her official makeup sponsor. We are so proud to be apart of this amazing project and look forward to our new partnership with team Malachi!

THE PREMIER:
After meeting Carolyn Malachi, I instantly fell in love with her look, personality and inspiring visions! Last night she quoted a family member, I believe it was her Father, when she explained "Balance is the key to life". I wondered why I had never thought of that before. It is so true! Without balance, how could you every reach your beautiful dream?
I had the chance to speak with Carolyn last night while doing her makeup for the premier. At that time I only saw the trailer and told Carolyn the little girl in the video is symbolically my daughter. She is a straight "A" student and often feels alone in an environment where other students curse, do drugs, and are already having sex. My little girl wants to be a Forensic Scientist and I know if she continues to choose the right path in life and believes in herself, she can do it! At that point Carolyn shared the fact that she was bullied and picked on in school. She went on to explain because she got good grades, danced, and sang she was thought of as "different". She stayed true to herself and pushed forward continuing on with her dreams and never gave up!
Like the song, I believe in my heart, in this world, you can be anything as long as you never give up! No matter how hard life gets, you can achieve your most deepest desires and dreams.
Carolyn Malachi captured this all in one song and expressed those lyrics in this brilliant video! I hope you will love this as much as we do and please share this amazing message with everyone!
